The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends

I have a fanatic complex. The emphasis being squarely on the fan. I'm a dedicator, a super-follower, a convention goer of all things I like. When I enjoy the presence of something-media, food, drugs, discussion, a particular body-I go to any lengths to experience everything I can within that brief-yet-delightful spectrum of superfandom.

This is mostly a warning. It is to tell all concerned to handle with care the very process of interacting with me, because one of those fan-inducing objects has reintroduced themselves to the Zeitgeist, and I'm straight flipping my shit over here.

Have you seen this, have you heard about this?

I can't even. The Flaming Lips featuring a different artist on every track? The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends features the talents of Yoko Ono, Jim James, Nick Cave, Edward Sharpe, and oh shit this is just brilliant just go listen god I'm losing it.

I'm a later bloomer when it comes to the Flaming Lips. I loved them after other, much more dedicated fans loved them. But, Erykah Badu shaming aside, I think they're brilliant artists with a keen understanding of the word distinction, and they deserve to be lauded. Not just by humans, but by the gods, themselves. Each song on this Album features a

New WWRM poster and Character.

It has polyrythyms, mutters Wfunk.

Some day you'll see all these bro's pallin' around, watching footloose and making beer runs; talking to old people for charity and getting in their camaro's for prom. They're a good bunch of people, they haven't even tried bath salts even though they had some guy try to sell them some.

wwrm.org -you should go there.

It will be pleasant and warm; It's thanksgiving so I guess you could watch football or something but that would be ceaselessly stupid.
I'm not even going to put pants on today, that's what I am thankful for.

this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen.

hash browns tag

So I'm genuinely a terrible person; but if hell is the pit of fire conjured up by years of dogmatic expression of the vile ills of Satan and his posse, dancing around a communal picnic of destruction, death, sodomy, and pop music then here I come. Because, if GodJesusGhost is TOTALLY DOWN with people expressing praise in the form of Twitter posts synced with ur fazebookfeed that end in #obviousstatementoffaith then I see no reason that this isn't simply a modern expression of a brilliant moment in the passion.

This guy is getting ground down with dance eg bootyshakinmuzaks into a wall. Gin, Harmless?
 But he's a good man.

Nick is a man with a plan.

I'm really into multi-frame photography right now. When you run around snapping pictures like that at a party you end up getting these really cool subsections of interaction, people taking sips of drinks, greeting each other in extreme happiness; if you are really lucky you catch a fight or a first romance, something really prime-time.

If you are really lucky you have an awesome frontman hanging around for his close-up.

It's really only done justice in it's original size, so please clickandsee.

Earth Damn Day.

If you would click the image, my friends:

There is something inherently strange to me about the manner we go about being green.

For example, having a huge corporation that manufactures and sells snack foods promoting their chips through an Earth Day campaign. I mean, it's a campaign asking what people are doing for Earth Day. How about we don't buy chips that are mass produced in energy sucking factories?

Thanks Sun Chips, your unbridled pretentiousness really helps out the Earth.
Plant some damn trees, people.
